More Than 100 Volunteers Rally in Orlando for Final Get-Out-the-Vote Push Ahead of Election Day
Coalition led by Congressman Maxwell Frost, State Rep. Dr. Anna V. Eskamani, and House District 43 candidate Samuel Vilchez Santiago Reached 3,000 apartment units in the final 24 hours before polls opened on Election Day
ORLANDO, Fla. — More than 100 volunteers and supporters filled Sazoncito Latin Food on Monday evening for a Get-Out-the-Vote rally, capping a coordinated field push that reached 3,000 apartment units across the district in the final 24 hours before Election Day.
The rally brought together Team Anna, Team Frost, and Team Samuel alongside endorsed school board candidates for a final round of speeches before volunteers fanned out into surrounding neighborhoods for a door-to-door lit drop. Canvassers delivered polling locations, hours, and voting information directly to residents, with a deliberate focus on apartment communities along the S. Semoran corridor, where renters and working families are too often skipped by traditional campaign outreach.
Featured speakers included Congressman Maxwell Frost, State Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani, House District 43 candidate Samuel Vilchez Santiago, and endorsed school board chair and candidates.
"Turnout in an August election is never an accident; it is built, door by door, conversation by conversation," said State Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani. "Last night more than 100 neighbors showed up after work, on a Monday, to make sure thousands of households knew exactly where to vote and why it matters. That is what real organizing looks like, and now we finish the job: polls are open, and every single vote counts."
Polls are open across Orange County today, Tuesday, August 18, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Voters in line by 7:00 p.m. are legally entitled to cast a ballot. Voters can confirm their polling location and check their registration status at ocfelections.gov.
