Unite Here Local 737, the union of 19,000 Central Florida hospitality & tourism workers, proudly endorses Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani for Mayor of Orlando in 2027
Orlando, FL – Today, UNITE HERE Local 737, the union representing more than 19,000 hospitality and tourism workers across Central Florida, announced its endorsement of State Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani in her campaign for Mayor of Orlando.
“Working people need a fighter – someone who is unafraid to stand up for tourism workers and our families, unafraid of the bosses, unafraid of corporate greed. Anna Eskamani is exactly the kind of fighter we need,” said UNITE HERE Local 737. “When we fought for raises at Disney that set the standard for the rest of Central Florida, Anna always showed up for us. When we struggled to get the broken Florida unemployment system to support us during the COVID shutdown, Anna fought for every single person in Florida to get what they were owed. And when workers have organized to win a union, Anna is always there to back them up.”
Eskamani, who has served as State Representative for House District 42 since 2018, said she was honored to earn the union’s support:
“Hospitality workers are the backbone of Central Florida, and they deserve wages, benefits, and working conditions that reflect their value. I have stood with workers on picket lines, fought for them at the state capitol, and I will continue to fight for them as Mayor of Orlando.
