ORLANDO, FL — The Anna for Orlando campaign announced today that it has surpassed 25,000 individual donations in its bid for Mayor of Orlando — a milestone that ranks among the most grassroots-funded mayoral campaigns in the city's history.
To date, - Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani has raised over 1.1 million dollars from supporters across Orlando, the state, and country in support of her campaign for Mayor of Orlando with an average contribution of $26 to her campaign. The overwhelming majority of donations have come from working families, students, retirees, teachers, small business owners, and first-time political donors — not corporate PACs or special interests.
"This milestone belongs to the people of Orlando," said Rep. Anna V. Eskamani, candidate for Mayor. "25,000 individual donations shows how much people believe Orlando deserves a Mayor who answers to them — not to special interests and not to insiders. Every single dollar matters in this campaign, because every single voice matters in our city."
The 25,000-donation milestone places the Anna for Orlando campaign in rare company nationally among city-level races and reflects a deliberate strategy: maintain strong grassroots funding, build a movement door-by-door, and prove that a people-powered campaign can compete — and win.
