Anna V. Eskamani Hosts Mayoral Canvass Kickoff in Historic Orlando Election with Special Guests State Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith and Representative LaVon Bracy Davis

Orlando, FL: On Saturday, May 10th, join State Representative Anna V. Eskamani and her team as they launch their first Canvass Kickoff event in the race to become Orlando’s next mayor. From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, volunteers and supporters will come together to knock on doors, renew vote-by-mail requests, and talk directly with neighbors about the future of Orlando.

This mayoral race marks the first open seat in 25 years — a historic moment that presents both opportunity and responsibility. Eskamani, a bold advocate for working families and a proven leader, is ready to write the next chapter of Orlando’s story — one that is rooted in community, equity, and people power.

The event will feature special guest speakers State Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith and Representative LaVon Bracy Davis, two trailblazing leaders who have championed community causes and represent the future of Central Florida.

“We are thrilled to kick off this campaign with a high-energy canvass and invite our community to be part of this movement,” said Eskamani. “It’s time to build upon the progress of the past while shaping a future that works for everyone.”

All are welcome — no prior canvassing experience is needed. When knocking on doors, residents will be invited to participate in the Shape Orlando’s Future Survey. Team Anna will provide training on-site. Volunteers are encouraged to dress comfortably, bring a reusable water bottle, and wear a Team Anna t-shirt if they have one.
