Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 3108 Endorses Dr. Anna V. Eskamani for Mayor of Orlando

ORLANDO, FL — The Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 3108 has officially endorsed State Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani in her campaign for Mayor of Orlando, citing her relentless advocacy for working families, her leadership during the COVID-19 crisis, and her proven record of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with union members across Central Florida.

“Anna Eskamani has been a relentless advocate for working families — not just in words, but in action,” said CWA Local 3108 leadership. “From the halls of Tallahassee to the frontlines of our own strikes, she has shown up, stood tall, and fought hard for the dignity of labor.”

The union highlighted Eskamani’s presence on the picket lines, her advocacy for essential workers during the pandemic, and her continued commitment to ensuring that no worker is left behind.

“When our members were on strike, Anna didn’t just send a statement — she walked the picket line with us,” the statement continued. “She stood shoulder to shoulder with communications workers, amplifying our voices and reminding the public that our fight was their fight too.”

Eskamani has been a strong ally to communications workers and other labor organizations throughout her four terms in the Florida Legislature. She has consistently defended workers’ rights, opposed corporate greed, and championed policies that advance economic justice, fair wages, and collective bargaining rights.

“For our members — communications workers who keep Florida connected, informed, and supported — Anna has been a true ally,” the statement read. “Her leadership reflects the values we hold dear: solidarity, inclusion, and economic justice.”

CWA Local 3108 joins a growing list of labor unions and organizations supporting Eskamani’s campaign, including SEIU, Unite Here, and the Sierra Club.

“I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of CWA Local 3108,” said Eskamani. “This union represents the backbone of our communications industry — the workers who keep our communities connected and our democracy strong. I’ve been proud to stand with them, and as Mayor, I’ll continue fighting for a city that uplifts working people, invests in public services, and ensures that no one is left behind.”

CWA Local 3108 concluded its endorsement by reaffirming their confidence in Eskamani’s leadership:

“Anna Eskamani doesn’t just talk about change — she makes it happen. And today, we’re honored to stand with her as she takes the next step in her journey to serve the people of Orlando.”
